I was introduced to Baking With A Rockstar by Jasmin Miller, by Jasmin. She hoped I’d like it, I told her to be prepared for one heck of a review on her 349 page book, she said I was going to make her cry, I almost cried… so Jasmin (and everyone else) here it is.
The plot of the story is this: Rockstar Hudson Mitchell is over the glitz and spotlight of the music industry. Desperate for a break from the fast-paced life of fame, he retreats to the one place that has always been home.
It’s the same place where Charlie has taken refuge, trying to build a life for herself and her young daughter. The quiet, small-town atmosphere and her new bakery venture are exactly what she needs to pick up the pieces of her shattered past.
As they spend more time together, neither of them is prepared for the effect Charlie has on Hudson, and how important she would become for his career.
My View: Have you ever wondered what a 5 star review would look like from me? Well, aren’t you so lucky that you no longer have to wonder… I started off this story thinking “oh this looks like a cute concept” but let me tell you, the depth of this story is unreal. The twists and turns, the heartbreaking truth about Mira, and never mind the Mitchell family. We should all be so fortunate to have a family like the Mitchell’s in our lives. Jasmin wrote this book so perfectly and I am amazed that this is only her first novel. You can connect with the characters and can leave this story with your own heart feeling so full. I would also like to point out that I don’t remember noting any typo’s which is very rare these days. I’m not saying that to say that, it really is annoying sometimes how meticulous I read books and always find them. It was actually one of points I made the second I finished the last word and went raving on to my husband about this book. That is seriously how much I enjoyed it.
As I have told Jasmin, she did not disappoint. Baking With A Rockstar is now on my top 5 books (and I read A Lot, like at least 1 book a day) so I obviously recommend checking it out for yourself, especially before her next book The Best Kind Of Mistake releases in April 2019. Jasmin is without a doubt a must follow Author.
