Another Shot At Love

I was on a hunt for a free rom-com and stumbled across Another Shot At Love by Niecey Roy and I am so happy I did.
The plot of this 308 page book is – Imogen Gorecki needs a date to her sister’s engagement party—especially since her cheating ex-boyfriend is on the guest list. But finding Mr. Perfect in a time crunch is proving impossible.
Just when she’s about to give up, she face-plants into the crotch of the sexiest guy she’s ever met.
Matt Sesnick is everything Imogen wants in a man, but he’s not looking for a relationship so soon after his recent divorce. Will Gen’s pregnant and hormonal older sister, her bridezilla twin, and all of her past Mr. Wrongs get in the way of their happily-ever-after, or can she convince Matt to take another shot at love?
My View – Where do I start? Even my notes on this book are all over the place reminiscing on things that drew me in. It is certainly a relatable story line and very understandable to the guards that are up. Sometimes you read a story where someone has their guard up and you think “seriously, that’s why?” but that is not the case here. I get it. Then there is the part of ex’s or their friends not getting the hint even when flat out told. Just shake your head with me now, you know exactly the type I am talking about. They do exist. After that we can talk about the bond of the sisters. Their relationship is exactly what I would imagine having if I had sisters. I had brothers so no luck there but a girl can dream. But the biggest draw is exactly how this story was written. You can actually visualize the story, the characters , their actions and especially the chemistry. It’s rare when all those points can go right in one book but it does here.
