Losing The Forbidden

I recently had the pleasure of reading Losing The Forbidden. It is the second book in Tracy Lorraine’s Forbidden series but can be read as a stand alone, kind of…

The plot of this 216 page book is – Craving her was wrong… losing her was a necessity.

What we had was real, but it’s over. Ancient history.

She was under my skin, but I was under her dad’s roof.

He warned me to stay away, but I couldn’t.

We risked everything and I lost it all, to protect us both.

Now I’m empty, and it’s all too clear what’s missing. Or, rather, who.

None of the women who warm my bed can ever fill the void inside my shattered heart.

That belongs to one person alone. My “step-sister.”

I never gave up hope that we’d get our second chance.

One phone call changes everything, and I’m about to claim what’s rightfully mine.

My View– Like I said in the intro, Losing is the second book in the Forbidden series that can kind of be read as a stand alone. Let me explain the “kind of”…

To start, although I did not read the first book (I will be now though!) you can still follow exactly what is going on. I do however think that if I had, my heart could have been more involved in their love. You know, that lead up to the first kiss, and the first time and be fully captivated by the forbidden aspect. Don’t get me wrong, this is not a negative, this is a selling point for the first book.

Second, this book does exactly what a second book should do. It carries you further down a heart wrenching story. It keeps you captivated by the characters and needing to know more… in the next book! I personally know I am looking forward to it!
